My blood, sweat and tears go into every piece of jewellery I produce. Made by hand, by me, in my workshop in Melbourne, Australia
My production model simplifies the story of ‘where stuff comes from’ by fostering a connection between myself as a maker, and those who love well-crafted jewellery.
Jewellery is nothing short of brilliant in it’s simplicity, so I run my business this way to! A lean, mean (but actually really nice) sustainable business machine.
TINK is the creation of me–jeweller and maker Michael Tink. With a studio in Melbourne, AUS, I restore and remake people's loved pieces, manufacture custom works like engagement rings, wedding rings, earrings and pendants. Using high-grade metals and ethically sourced diamonds and gemstones, my jewellery illustrates meticulous craftsmanship (so you can be sure my hands have created every piece that leaves my studio). My focus on bold, contrasting colours and textures is prevalent throughout my ranges, as well as alternate materials and hidden details that only the wearer knows (it’s the little things, right?).
When creating pieces my process involves the use of both traditional techniques (rolling, forging and filing) as well as modern technologies such as computer aided modelling and 3d printing. This gives me the ability to fine tune designs with clients and even make things that weren't possible 10years ago.
